“Community-Based Clinical Study of Exercise Interventions for Parkinson’s Disease and Analysis of Functional Brain Network Changes”
September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2028 (3 years)
KRW 192,459,000
This project aims to develop community-based exercise intervention programs to prevent and improve cognitive decline in patients with Parkinson’s disease. The study also seeks to scientifically verify the effects and underlying neurophysiological mechanisms of such interventions using advanced methodologies (e.g., fMRI, fNIRS, pupillometry).
Development of customized exercise programs for patients with Parkinson’s disease
Identification of the neurophysiological mechanisms of exercise effects
Reduction of medical costs and improvement of patients’ quality of life
Dissemination of community-based non-pharmacological treatment strategies
This research is a challenging initiative dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s disease. Undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on research experience and developing expertise in related fields are encouraged to participate.
